2015 Pond / Island These two large projections mapped onto shaped and textured paintings create the ambient space and atmosphere of the installation. They are longer, looping, light-filled movies whose images of land and water, micro and macro, float the viewer into other spaces. The ISLAND is the territory we enter with Pal: he is our guide and our transport. The POND is an entry into hidden realms: its depths contain The Cell, an emissary from the past to the future, carrying encoded information for the continuation of life. The projections are mapped onto The Pond and Island paintings. They serve as maps to inner territories, the unknown, the future.
