This movie uses charming hand-drawn imagery in combination with sophisticated computer animation and simple, stark sculptural forms to tell mystical, veiled stories. Elusive characters explore imagined realms. "Cottage" investigates the self-constructed illusion of comfort and all that we build around us to sustain that dream, our desire to be the first, the only, to ever escape. Meanwhile, we can treat ourselves with the fantasies of growth, accomplishment and discovery. I like to dwell in these lands, knowing very well, the reality.

In the end, things become simplified, refined, extracted. We are left, before we leave, with knowledge of how things truly are, before going on to a world we just don't know and can never tell.
