This installation explores emotional territory related to darkness, feeling lost, the hidden, protected, mysterious world deep within a thicket. The piece approaches this territory using a wide range of media from handmade objects to synthetic video to video of the most beautiful natural settings. This range of media reflects our modern day diversity of experience, the different worlds we can inhabit, from the ever expanding cyber/social space to the mysterious and bliss-inducing but rabidly disappearing peace of the natural environment.

The installation consists of three large old CRT monitors stacked or otherwise arrayed, playing three different movies: The Girl in the Thicket, Birds on a Branch and Branch.
